What Tilmidh does not do

No account. No email collected in the app. No ads. No selling data to brokers. Not an ijazah or scholarly certificate.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

The trainer at tilmidh.app/ loads Google Analytics 4 (ID G-GN2HKJF3L0) via gtag.js. Google may receive aggregated visit data: page views, device, country, traffic source. No microphone audio in Analytics. Google policy: policies.google.com/privacy. Opt out: “Google Analytics Opt-out” browser add-on or a script blocker.

Microphone and speech recognition

The mic button uses the browser Web Speech API, language ar-SA. Audio is handled by the system engine (Chrome / Safari), not by a Tilmidh server. We do not send recordings to OpenAI, Whisper cloud, or Firebase.

Local storage

Three localStorage keys on your device: language, favorites, completed verses. Nothing syncs to a Tilmidh cloud. Clear site data to erase everything.

Quran text

Uthmani tajweed text is loaded from the public Quran.com API (v4). Quran.com has its own policy. Tilmidh does not host the muṣḥaf.

Duo (PeerJS)

Imam/student mode opens a P2P connection via the PeerJS broker (session IDs). No account. Only share a Duo link with someone you know.

Technical logs

In production on Vercel, host logs (IP, user-agent, URL) exist like any HTTPS site.

Play / PWA

The Android app (TWA) shows the same site. Mic permission is the system one. Uninstalling removes local storage.

Your rights

With no account, there is no profile file to export. Clear browser / app data. Questions: Play Console email.
